Inconspicuous green flowers that turn brown as seeds ripen. Mid green, lanced shaped leaves with striking red veins. The leaves have an acid taste. Culinary; the leaves can be eaten fresh when young.

Growing
• Indoor Sowing: In early spring, into prepared plug trays or pots, cover with perlite.
• Outdoor Sowing: In late spring, into rich, acid soil that retains moisture, full sun to partial shade. Thin to 30cm apart.
