Mini Crean Mate
Description
New to Jekka’s! By popular demand, a mini (approx. half size) version of the Niwaki Crean Mate.
Like its big brother, this is a fab little scouring block for cleaning resin, rust and other gunks from blades. Add a few drops of Camellia Oil to the blade (or water works fine, but you ought to oil later anyway) then use the Crean Mate as you would a rubber. It has a fairly rough texture and might scratch polished surfaces, so we suggest testing before use on prize blades.
Combine with Camellia Oil, the Twin Diamond File and the Niwaki Sharpening Stone to maintain the quality of your gardening tools.
A note on the name: yes, it is Crean Mate not Clean Mate. An early mistranslation stuck and now we can’t imagine it being called anything else.
